The Pretoria Model Car Club (PMCC) is privileged to host the 2023 South African International Slot Car Racing Grand Prix (SAIGP) from 17th to 20th March 2023.

The Grand Prix will be combined with the South African Model Car Association (SAMCA) Grand Prix Series and will be regarded as the first round of the 2023 SAMCA South African Championship. All registered SAMCA members will accordingly receive points for Production and GT12, counting towards the 2023 SAMCA South African Championship.

Three classes will be raced, viz. LMP24 (with handout motors), Production 24 and GT12.  There will also be a 2-Hour Team Race for Production 24 class cars on Friday, 17th March 2023.

    Class Entry

    *If you are entering the LMP24 race, you will need to purchase a handout motor. Cost TBA (approximately R120). A maximum of two motors per entrant may be purchased.

    Entry Fees

    • SAMCA Honorary Life Members and SAMCA Registered Members: R60 per class.
    • SAMCA Registered Junior Members: R30 per class.
    • Entrants not a member of a SAMCA affiliated club must apply for SAMCA Temporary Membership for the event and shall pay a once off R50 registration fee plus R60 per class entered.
    • Unpaid registration and entry fees can be paid to the SAMCA Treasurer on the day of the event.
